I am just looking for opinions to the age old question (well, one of them anyway)...Do apes belong on a batwinged bagger? I had cheek-high apes on my softail and loved them, and I just cant seem to get the feel for the stock bars on my 2012 SG. A couple buddies have apes on their SG's, but I just cant decide if I like the look or not. I dont want to go radically high....maybe to the top or a bit lower of the 7" LRS windshield. They both have 19" apes on theirs and it is a bit high for my taste. What do you think of the look and how high? Thanks in advance!
My opinion is the only apes that look good behind a batwings that are no higher then 12 inches. Pretty much puts them near the top of the batwing. I rode a SG today that had 12" mini apes and I thought it looked good. To me any higher wouldnt look right but Im not a big fan of tall apes. To me anything over 14" is to high. I personally only like them about 12".
I've got 14" Wild 1's (576's) on my Ultra and don't know how I made it this long without them. Much more comfortable and I personally love the look. They put my hands a bit above the fairing. 5'11" and 220 lbs...not sure about sleeve length. Don't listen to those who say apes on baggers are ugly...most with that opinion are riding ugly *** Road Glides to begin with

Don't hate the Playa there boss! And you know that after test riding my bike the other day you're dying to throw a set of 14 inchers on that Duracell battery of yours!
10 inch Yaffe MBB, more like other mfg's 12's.
Pretty much level with top of fairing.
Completely eliminated the back pain I had with the stock bars and the wrist pain I got with Heritage bars.
Sometimes wish I went with the 12's but not enough to go through the hassle of wiring another set.
I'm 6'1 and have a C and C solo seat which dropped me about a inch from stock seat.
