Default Passenger floorboards relocate

I have had my Ultra Classic now for 2 weeks. Being approx. 5'6", I have had the front lowering kit, rear lowering shocks & Super reduced Reach seat installed. Problem is, as you all know, the rear floorboards are way too close to the front ones whether up or down, and it is a bitch backing up. I don't understand why they don't fold up closer to the bike, near where they bolt on. There would still be clearance so they would not hit the covers.
Does anyone know of any company that makes a replacement bracket to allow the complete bracket to fold up out of the way?

I'm 5'6" as well and I agree that sucks I always hit the back of my lower calves on the passenger floorboards. Have yet to see anything like that though.

You could take them off. You could switch out to pegs, which I think would help. I know that coming off metrics, cruisers, the boards bothered me a lot at first. I adjusted to them and never notice them now. If you are hitting them backing up you are also very close to if not hitting the exhaust on the right side. I don't know about the seat you have but there are seats that are much more narrow up front and they will help but they move you forward and can be a too hard on the crotch. Good luck but you might just give it some more time and concentrate on foot placement.
