Well i guess all to save a buck or 2. I bought my 4 point docking hardware from ebay. Same sort of ad i think, but not that person. Mine came wrapped in a plastic. Fit perfect, chrome is perfect. Backrest and stealth rack fits perfect. Mine may be one of those knock offs as well but seems good. I dont think anyone should mis represent something but i guess it happen. I guess buyer beware.
The guy is selling the 4-point dock for $130 and you can go to the dealer and buy it for $160. I guess my question is why did you even take the chance? To put this in perspective it cost me almost $18 to fill up my bike the other day. I wouldn't even question paying the extra $30 for the peace of mind.
I did not pay $130 for it, I offered $100 and they took it. I saved $60 bucks and was led to believe it was the same part as the Harley part. I felt like I got a good deal. Lesson learned.

No doubt the seller is being deceptive. He needs a good *** woopin and banned from Ebay
I'd notify eBay and HD. As an aside I have been trading(buying and selling) on eBay over 12 years and have had exactly ONE bad transaction in all the thousands of transactions I have completed. It's not fair to paint it all as crooks. There are some honest people and vendors there trying to give or get a fair deal. This guy not so much!
Just a thought. If you buy a harley part and it fails and someone gets hurt You could hold Harley liable. If a bogus Harley part fails and someone gets hurt. Who do you sue.
They were reported to Ebay, I have not heard anything back about it. I also sent the junk back to them yesterday so I am just waiting on my refund. If I dont receive it right away I will file a paypal claim against them.
I bought the 4 point docking harware from the same guy, the ad read that the parts were removed from bikes before being shipped over seas. I sent him a message asking if he had a tour pack mount, he said he had one he just took off a new Street Glide. I bought both parts that day, they arived within 3 days and as soon as I looked at the parts I knew they were not OEM. The docking hardware fits great and I have no issuses with them, but the tour pack mounts chrome could be a lot better. I was leaving on a trip in a few days and didn't bother complaining, maybe I stll should.
He clearly lied to me when he said they were just removed from a new bike.
I only use ebay if it is with an established vendor such as Easternpc

Yep, have had many dealings on ebay and just recently had my first problem which was resolved. Eastern PC I have gotten great deals from and they will answer any questions on the phone. I have them stored in my phone.
