ok im gona de-cat my pipe on my 2012 roadglide custom after our riding season in ill. ive got the v & h twin slash rounds on my ride now and was wondering how much diff it would sound de- cated? it dont sound bad now but it could stand to be a hair louder and deeper.

 

Thats exactly what will happen when you remove the cat so you should be happy...

I purchased the V&H Monster Rounds for my '12 Ultra. Almost sounded stock above 1500 rpm. Asked V&H about alternate baffles or removing fiberglass from new mufflers. Tech stated all sound waves are killed before exiting the catalytic converter and the only way to get more was to remove the cat. I purchased the Power Duals and got exactly the sound I wanted. Also remapped the PC-V and eleminated a high RPM surge in the motor. Not sure but I believe the cat was choking the system. HP & Torque & MPG went up, Right Thigh temp went down.
