Hey everyone. Anybody have the Harley Brawler solo seat(#51525-09A)? Likes, dislikes, comfort, ect. Read a few posts that said it`s extremely hard to install.
Considering one for my`11 SG. Thanks

I have the Brawler on my 08 RK and like it. I had to have a tailbone channel cut into the back par of the seat as my tailbone would start paining after a few hours in the saddle. As far as installing it, it was no more of an issue than installing the stock seat. Nothing difficult at all.

Hope this helps.

I've had the Brawler on my '09 RK for 3 years with no complaints. Longest ride was about 800 kms (500 miles) with only minor comfort issues. It's not as 'cushy' as my Tallboy 2-up but sits me back further to offer more room to stretch out my legs. One complaint that I do have is that the Brawler will not accommodate a back rest. You might want to consider a C&C or another brand if that's an issue.

09 FLHTC.

I like it fine.

the install consists of taking off the old seat, attaching a "t" shaped bracket to the 2 fender bolts and then putting the seat in place...and one more bolt so not so "extremely hard to install"

The seating position is back about an inch and down about an inch from the SG seat.

I prefer an more upright posture for long trip, I use the brawler around town.

before you do this, take off you current seat and make sure that your fender is not scratched up by the current seat

Thanks Mike. Good info. and a great pic.! And yes- there are rub marks on the rear fender. Guess I`ll have to deal with that before a solo seat.

I have one on my 12 street glide. It is very comfortable to me. The only issue with install was lining the rear bolt up with the rear hole in the seat bracket. It took a little pushing and pulling but I got it on.

Had one on my '10 Street Glide. Best looking solo seat out there in my opinion, however, I didn't find it all that comfortable. Maybe it put me back and down too far. Anyway, 2 hours on it and my back was killing me (and I don't use or need a backrest on other seats). Personally, the Mustang Vintage Solo is the most comfortable solo seat that I've tried, but it doesn't have the low profile look that most people want for their Street Glides.

H-D dealers have demo seats - you may want to try the Brawler before you buy it.

Ditto to what one-up said. Use to have on my '12 RK. Great looking seat but had to go back to my Mustang. Anything over a cpl of hours was hell on my tailbone.

Install is a breeze, just slap on the provided brakcet and you're good to go.
