Is this the model with the color option, security/ABS, cruise and wheel option? If so, it could conceivably be $23k with a reasonable prep fee. If it doesn't have every single factory option it sounds too high.
According to KBB.com the trade in on your bike in "good" condition is $13,925. I'm not sure how many miles they consider or what "good" means. Your bike sounds like a nicer bike and probably lower miles. I'd maybe offer them $6k at most OTD difference and see what happens. Then I might try other dealers.
I would look elsewhere. I just picked up a 2013 for just over $21k OTD. Black/ABS/Security//Cruise. I am having the dealer sell my 08 Dyna instead of the trade. Once he gets his 5% I will be getting a check for almost $12.5 k. I did not commit until I got the OTD price in writing. I would shop around a little more. That is my opinion.
I just went to HD and their price was inline with HD website but wanted to charge 1350 for freight and set up. I was looking at a 2013 FLHX. They're outta their minds as well. That's $1000 above what HD suggests for freight. Must be a sellers' market but I dont think so. Ran out of there like a purse snatcher!!!
Nothing. I originally wanted a street but my wife loved the ultra so that's what I got in the hopes of a few road trips that never happened so I think it's time to get what I want.
They want you commit to buy before you arrive at an acceptable price? Why would anyone do that?
Yea I understand that game I just don't want to play it right now. They told me they can work with this number or that number but I just was not into it at that moment. I will shop a little. Wanted to see what a few people on here thought.

That was a plane Jane black denim. As with everyone else I know I think my bike qualifies as better than good and with the few add ons I might do better with a sale but I just don't have the time. Just trying to figure out what to do.
