My 05 RK Classic was one of those bikes that came with a faulty valve guide seal, it got to the point of burning 1 quart in 1000 miles, and fouling out the rear plug as well.
Was told by the service manager at the selling dealer (in Oct. 2005) that "a quart in 1000 miles is acceptable" ...I didnt like it... but I rode it anyway... I found out later that there was a "service bulletin" on this particular valve guide seal.
I have since had a level "A" head service from Fuel Moto and other goodies done, and its nice not to have to carry and extra quart of oil on a long haul.
