I just had this happen to me this past week. Very first screw stripped. I was pissed of course...but read the forums here and found the answer. I drilled a hole in the head...went and purchased an easy out and sure enough the T-27 came right out. I then took the word of someone here and went and bought allen head screws....replaced all 5 T-27's.....glad I did too

Is that possible anyone would do that? Really?
It may have been easier to pull the motor to get that torx screw out.

Sorry you got so many replies from the mentally challenged.
Here's your solution: HEAT
If you have a soldering gun use it to apply heat directly to the stripped screw. H-D uses red Loctite on those screws and it takes 400 degree heat to loosen the Loctite. Once it's hot enough you should be able to turn it out with ViceGrips.
Chase all of the Loctite out of the threads with a tap and replace the screws using anti-seize.
You're done.

I figured Poncho was going to use a propane torch and wreck his chrome, even a heat gun will turn chrome yellow. I never tried a soldering gun, I realize lok-tite softens at 400 degrees. I'll try the other methods before that !

Take one of the bolts that did come out as it should.
Use it to determine the needed drill bit size. Choose a drill bit that is the same size as the outer edge of the threads.
Drill the center of the bolt's head until the head slides up the dril bit.
Remove the derby cover.
Grasp the remaining bolt shaft with a pair of ViseGrips and twist counter-clockwise.
It should come out.

Or, go to your nearest Sears store and buy their extractor (Easy out) set. It comes with 3 extractors. Place the proper extractor into a pair of vise grips. Using pressure against the bolt head twist the extractor counter-clockwise. This, too may work.
