A friend of mine bought one for his 12 limited. He & his better half love it. We have not gone on any rides more than 300 miles so far.

we put the Zepplin on the Ultra, My lady could not ride more than a hundred miles on the stock seat with out pain I have to admit 100 was getting real close to my limit too.
After seat change we jumped on the bike and headed for Reno. NV about 425 miles half way there she was complaining about the seat I felt her seat it was hard as a rock, (she thought the more air the better) I let the air out and told her to just ad air till she feels it we road on in with out a problem on the way home we started with no air and she road back with out adding air. we have put over 13000 miles on the bike sense the seat change she says it is more comfortable than the seat in her 300 M class. HAPPY LADY HAPPY ME. How do I feel about the seat? You can have it if you can get me off of it long enough LOL, I can ride tank to tank all day long with out much discomfort at all IMHO it is as good as the Russell Seat I had on my ST1100. We went with Leather by the way so even in high heat we don't hurt Would I recommend the seat by all means, Just as thought if you have a problem touching to ground on the stock seat you will not like it the seat is wider that standard

I believe Playx3 is talking about the Road Zep seat, not just the pad, which is what I was going to do.

If the pad is even half as good as the seat it is worth the money. My Road Zep seat is the first seat that I have ever had (since 79) that I can run unlimited miles on without even thinking about monkey butt, mamma hasn't complained either.

I bought this pad at the dealer and took it right back. It is too small. I've got a big butt and it seemed like a string bikini to me. It is 14x14. I've got a Mustang touring seat and it didn't cover the saddle. Might work for someone smaller. I actually tried it on the passenger pillion and it fit perfectly. JMO.

We got them last week then rode about 670 miles this weekend. Helps very much. Alleviates the discomfort while riding and there's no after ride pain either. Very well made. Easy to use. Pump and a release button. U can even adjust while riding. Got the smaller one too for wife and she's happy. Nuff said

Thanks for the seat review Playx3, got a quote today and dealer wants $1440.00 for the seat, rider back rest and passenger back rest for an 01 Electra Glide. Guess the price jumped a bit this year. Might look for a 20% off dealer, if those still exist. Have not cared much for the the stock seat for 11 years, so going for the new seat and a new stereo.

My heritage springer's seat was too soft and after a couple of hours my tailbone would start complaining. I bought the airhawk (ebay) and used it on a 900mi 3day trip and had no butt discomfort. The trick with these seat pads is to use the minimium amount of air to achieve your comfort level. In my case the seat pad raises me up about a 1/2". To look at it it looks like there is no air in it at all. Also, with the mesh sides there is air circulation to prevent your butt from sweating. Having said all that I'm still considering getting a "Harley Hammock" for the Ultra.

I rode my brothers road king with the hammock at Daytona, and I liked it. So ordered one that will be here tomorrow, or so dealer said? Kinda pricey, but felt good.
