Anyone using the Sena SMH10 in place of or in addition to their stock communications system? Looking for some opinions on how you like it and how you use it as opposed to the stock system.
Third season with the sena, can't comment on any of the functions except for the bike to bike intercom. Works great by VOX and push to talk. Clear sound can actually carry on a conversation. All day battery life. The range is good in line of site, but if you get a few bends ahead it'll get scratchy.
Use ours in the driver to passenger mode. Only problem I have is the noise from air buffeting coming from the passenger mic when using a half helmet. I'm experimenting with different noise suppressors.
+1, I don't have a stock HD system, but I have the Sena for bike to bike, and use it with my GPS and phone, I love it.
+1, my wife and I are thrilled with the Sena SMH10. Sound quality is excellent. We both wear full face helmets so the Sena has been a godsend for talking while riding. I also use it with my Zumo GPS for directions and listening to music (mp3's). Highly recommended.
Just got the SMH10. We ride a 2012 RKC and are currently on a weekend away. We really like the Sena. It works great rider to passenger. Also, in between chats, she listens to her music and I listen to mine. Truthfully, the speakers could be better, but it works just fine. And my wife has made the odd phone call and it works great for that too. We would recommend it.

I think the helmet has a lot to do with the speaker sound quality. The Senas sound great in my Schuberth C3 but a bit tinny in my Shoei Neotec.
Revzilla says my Sena SMH10 arrives Friday. I'll installing it into an HJC IS-16 full face helmet. I'll let you know how it sounds. I am getting it primarily for listening to tunes not talking. I have wired speakers now and was getting tired of dealing with the wires.
