Default Michelin Commander II

Ok I can say that the mileage claims are pretty true, I have 10k on mine and measured the tread depth today, and I still have 7/32 left, so it looks like I could get at least another 5k out of it, maybe 8k.

That is certainly encouraging since I just had a set put on my bike. Thanks for update.

I would like to see someone with more miles, so I can say what kind of mileage I can really get out of it.

Good to know, one of the tires I've been looking at for my next replacement.

I just put one on the back and it the best ride and handling tire I had to date. First 1000 mile and I am impressed

I love mine! More responsive, corners better, and softer ride than Dunlops. Not sure about the wear yet.

I'd run the Commanders even if they only went 10K miles.

To me, they do handle much better and ride "softer" than the stock tires. 5K on mine now, and I see no wear, and no squaring off of the rear tire whatsoever, which the OEM's always did.

98% of my riding is the 36 mile commute back and forth to work, all straight highway.

Love'em.

I have been running Dunlop E III's and pretty happy with them but will be trying the Commander II next hoping for more longevity and at least as good handling characteristics.

Just had a thought. I have called Dunlop a couple times and they were quite helpful. Can't remember what I called about. In any case I think I will try to call Michelin and see if they are as good with consumer questions.

The only reason I'm putting Dunlops back on my bike is they are made in Buffalo NY, just down the road from me.
