I don't use the kill switch or the ignition, except when starting.I drain the tank to avoid electrical problems.

Ok, I'm convinced, for the last few days I have avoided using the kill switch and today I found myself doing 215 mph while returning over 100 mpg.

I have always done....ignition on, wait, kill switch on, wait, hit starter. Off is...kill switch off, ignition off. Thats on my current 12 Ultra as well as my 03 Nighttrain. And both are straight out of the manual. I was told you need to do it in that order so the ECM can run it's self diagnostic before firing.

I was told the kill switch wasn't as durable as the ignition switch, and when they go bad they can get stuck in the OFF position.

It's amazing us ol farts have survived all of this "new tech". Maybe we need to start a thread on how to kick start a pan!!
