2005 FLHRCI Engine Build-FINALLY! Good Quote?
After 7 years of saving up H-D Visa Chrome Bucks, I finally have enough to pull the trigger on pepping up the TC88 on my RoadKing Classic! The Harley tech and Harley service writer sat down and generated the attached quote.
Disclaimer: After many years on car and motorcycle forums I KNOW there will be replies like "You can get 10x the whp at 1/10th of the cost in the aftermarket! Are they including KY Jelly?!?" I am requesting reviews and guidance here, but keep in mind that I need to do this through my dealership so I can use the roughly $3300 Chrome Bucks to defray as much out-of-pocket expense as possible.
I'm not looking for Honda VTEC-engine-like high revs with this V-Twin, but I do seek to get as much asphalt-ripping-spinning-the-earth-with-my-rear-tire torque as I can get outta this TC88. I have riding buddies who START with the 96 engine and go up from there. I like keeping up. I'm also looking to keep as much of the RKC "classic" look where possible without adding performance bits that are incongruous with the look.
Does there appear to be anything wildly amiss from this quote? Is there anything additional you would recommend? I'm just looking for some technical/performance advice from my Harley bros.
Thanks in advance!
