I got the exact same story from the guy at Louisville. He told me that the PC-V would fail and then I'd be SOL. He even showed me the same three PC-V's last week. Said he was getting ready to throw them in the trash...apparently he hasn't yet.
If you're talking about the parts guys at Louisville HD, they know squat....I've had to correct them so many times...or show what I wanted, simple things. One told me hd didn't make fixed fairing wings...Showed him in the book, then he says won't fit my bike anyway, showed him a bike on the floor with them....dumb asses....
I drive the extra miles and use HD Bowling Green....
BINGO! They told me that the 02 sensors were the same size from 2006-11 & then the same for 2012-13...I had to correct them guys on that one! I always go in there with my part numbers ready to order. No need too ask them guys for any info.

Tried that already. No luck! I'll just order some online from motorcyclesuperstore.com Order Monday before noon, parts arrive the next day.

LOL he had 3 of them on the back counter. He showed them to me also! PCV for me!!!!!
theres another thread nearly identical to this one. 2 HD dealers saying anything other than a harley tuner will fry the electrical system. I get trying to push your products but lying about your competitor is not cool. looks like Fuel Moto is still in business after selling all those "faulty" tuners.. HAHA
The guy doesn't know about anything except Harley,if even that much. There are many of us here using a pcv who haven't had a single issue with our units. Is the sert a good tuning device, yes,it is however let it stand on it's own merit. No need to trash the other product.
Besides. The tuning device is less than half the battle, the guy tuning the device is a much more important variable.
If your bike is an '06-'11, a Toyota oil pan drain plug will work. They have the same thread/pitch as the O2's they replace and are only a couple of bucks apiece. (As compared to the 'special' O2 plugs that everyone sells for 7-9 dollars apiece) The Toyota P/N is 90341-18016. Just put a little antisieze on them first, snug 'em down, and you're good to go. I also hear that AutoZone carries the correct size. Sorry, I don't have a P/N.
