I know this depends on the bars, and mine have an extreme bend, but:

My Yaffe's were not the easiest thing to wire. Not as hard as many have said, but not real fun either. I had to swap them for another set of Yaffes about 2 months later. Talk about a PIA!!! I made up new words removing the wiring from those bars! I don't suggest putting yourself in a situation where you think you will have to UNwire a set of bars.

Just my My bend may be more extreme but length may add to difficulty? Anyway, I say do it right the first time.

Oh, and speaking of Yaffe, the have a set for RK's and RG's that look pretty sweet. So does BR. Like I said though, I think I like the Carlini's for an RK.

I have put regular bars together and taken them back apart with zero issues. If you go with a Yaffe bar or the like, they can be a major PITA...All depends on the bar you go with...

I like wild One Chubby's just don't buy a generic set of bars, there are alot of knock offs on line stay away from those.. It would suck to crash because you bought cheap bars that bent or cracked from the vibration, leaning, or hanging off of them on them

I'm 6'4" and I went with 16" Carlini's. My hands are shoulder level. Good luck!!

I'm 6' and just put 14's on my RK and could easily went with 16's. I posted a few pics of bike and then one of me going down the road, that may help a few people out that are curious.

I've had Wild 1 Chubbys on my last 3 bikes n love the quality and the bends. Height wise I'd sit on the bike and have someone measure where you like your hands. I have them on my Rocker which has a Danny Gray seat which is lower and further back. 12.5s were perfect for me at 6 feet. A lot of it depends on the bike. On a King I'd would have prefered 14s.

I'm 6' running 16", 1.5" thick, Carlini Flyin apes. The Carlini's actually measure out about 1" taller than stated so it's more like 17". Plus the 1.5" thick bars will be wider at the grips. I think mine are like 42"

Your seat will make a difference too. Mine is a C&C seat which is much more sleek than the stocker. Probably 2" shorter and I had them shave 2" off the back so I could sit further back.

At 5'8" I think I am going with 14s...it is best to hold off and find someone with apes and have a feel and see what you think first...
