Thumbs up Tw-222

+1 on the TW222 cams, I would chat with Fuelmoto (FM) on that. The TW222 provides more torque on the left than the SE255 does with more carry over towards the right on the dyno sheet.

The FM cam kit has the upgraded cam bearings too.

I would have gone PowerVision for tuner though, the TW222 is my next cam along with a PowerVision tuner.

I had the 255's in my 96" 07 FLHT with Rinehart TD's & PC-V w/ Fuel Moto map and that thing ran GREAT! Huge low end TQ that us "big" guys (6'1" 300+#) really need on touring bikes. With me, my girl (125# soaking wet!) & all the stuff for a few weeks vacation was never a problem. Then went looking for that "100 HP" mark, did a 103", 10.5:1, Andrews 54's & Big Boyz heads. While that build is a lot of fun past 4,500 RPM, I find I'm seldom up there. The SE 255's can be found rather cheap as CVO take outs. I still have mine (only 3-3,500 miles) and will likely put them in the new RG, but if I didnt already have them the new Woods 222 (and may still go 222's) look like they can give the best of both worlds!

My old bike I went straight from 96 to stage 2 103 w/255s as soon as the dealer had an opening.. with just the SE download and Xeids.... night and day difference.... on the new bike I put about 500 miles on the stock 103.... and while it was still torquey... it didn't hold a candle to the one I had just traded....... as soon as the dealer was able.. in it went for the stage 2 set up and a fat tune until I could get it broken in..... got it tuned the other day.... the numbers don't look that impressive at 80.?? Hp/ 101.?? torque but right between 2000 and 3000ish (which is where I do 80% of my crusing around riding/ two up plenty of grunt to get up hills and pass people and make my wife yell at me to slow the hell down) I'm right at 90- 100 ft lb of torque... and if you really want to twist it up and hold it there, it will keep pulling past the 120mph mark... ( I mean uhhhh not that I got out on the interstate and tried that this past weekend or anything, I uhhh NEVER speed.. yeah yeah)
there are a bunch of "torque" cams out there... if you are just wanting more grunt for cruising... that's the kind you need...... look at the 255s and others.. see if you can find some dyno charts of a bike with somewhat similar set up.. look in the 2000-3500 range and see which torque curve you like the best... I like the 255s mainly because it kept my factory warranty intact and having had them before I knew they pulled hard in the cruising range..... are there others that do the same... sure, but I'm happy.......
oh and with the 96"er.... if you haven't done it already... get the SE compensator.

If you don't do alot of interstate riding...75 mph plus...maybe consider regearing...will put the power band where its more useable. By far the best...easiest...cheapest mod I've done. I did the evo industries 30t comp sprocket and chain...though there are a couple different ways to do it....

I think the TW-222 are the new hot ticket. That is whats going in my 2012 FLTRX when it gets cams.

Good luck

A great example why SE 255 are so popular!

How did i know someone wasn't gonna get me.....

to answer your question..NO, i didn't just "figure this out the other night"
i was riding Jap bikes like i stole 'em 20 years ago...
My POINT was that "Fast" is very subjective...and that there have been more then a few times that i've seen threads where a regular guys posts a question about wanting a little more Oomph from his bike in realisticly useable situations, NOT what happens after you break 4500 RPMs, and he has his thread taken over by guys who just wanna brag about what THEY have and throw around alot of numbers and dyno sheets.....

p.s. thanks for pointing out that this is a Harley forum.. i wasn't quite sure after nearly 1,000 posts...

I was in the same boat and went with a 107" kit! Good power and reliability. I used Rosa's Cycles, but Fuel Moto has a great rep.

I am not a BIG 'noise' guy.....so I had the 103" put on my '09. SE air cleaner and the Harley download...but stock pipes. I am very happy the way it turned out. I can just picture my bike with a little more in the way of unrestricted pipes...+ CAMS?!
I am not a racer by any means..but you know you want to say "I have a 103 inch."
Cams next year, for sure.
