Question about moving handlebars
on an 07 FLHPI Road King Police.
I am looking at how the bars are set up.
There is a straight bar mounted with the tach on it and then off of that bar some 3" risers that rise up and clamp onto the bars.
I want to remove the 3" risers and tach and tach bar, and use that tach mount to mount the bars themselves, know what I mean?
I might not even use the tach, just get the reverse clamp for that one that is there or replace if I have to to avoid using that tach there but still being able to clamp the bars in place at that spot.
Is there any reason I cant do this
Thanks for any input.
I will try to post a dusty old dirty pic of the bars showing what I am talking about it.

I want to use that black clamp to mount the bars.'
I will use the tach mount if it will work for now, but ultimately I am going to find a mount I can use there for a stereo/sat rad/nav/mp3 player that is black, subtle, small and in a cool custom housing(maybe I will make something and have it powder coated) so it wont stick out but it will give me low profile functionality. and get rid of that tacky tach.
Anyone know if I ca do what I Am thinking of doing here?
This will also give me a 3" rise rather than a 6" rise if I were to mount to the risers and I want to mount open face bus bars with a 3" for a low profile look and this will look perfect and fit my arms very well if I can get down those 3"
Thanks in advance for any info.
