iphone handlebar mount and case

I use the same case as the OP, but also wanted a mount that's tidy. I used the empty mirror hole in the clutch mount to bolt through to a Ram ball with a 1/4" UNC female thread. When I take off the Ram arm, the ball is hardly visible.

I saw this at Daytona back in March but at that time is was not available. Looked pretty solid and east to use for any case.

Nope, the charging port is closed with the case. Make sure you take a charger with you because the battery drains fast (1 to 1.3 hour max)when using maps or Garmin maps.

I want to do one with my phone.
My old lg has navigator that is real time turn by turn, I use it when I am looking for customers houses in new neighborhoods that I dont know.
mine phone is an Android system with a ton of cool apps, but just a basic whatever phone, anyway I want to mount it in the dash for when I need the navigator or other stuff.
I am going to put it in a dash mount so I can keep my bars clean and have nothing at all on them, no cables,. wires, mounts , etc.. so I thought I would do the dash to keep the bars clean. I just wish there were more items available to other devices and not just iphone.
I dont have an iphone and I dont want to get one since I really dont need one, my phone is fine and I dont want a plan I like doing the pay as you go as I mix it up with different plans at times and stuff, plus I think it is cheaper, anyway it would be nice to get more universal mounts rather than so many iphone specific is all I am saying.
I was going to buy a navigator for the bike and a sat radio when I realized I can just use my phone for both.
I still want to get a sat ready radio and mount it in a custom mount I make for a lower fairing, so I will have a speaker on each side and the unit on the left fairing, and then speaker lids for the bags and I can use my existing controls to control it from the bars.
Anyway a lot of cool ways to mount an iphone or ipad on a bike.

Nope it's closed, it has to be to keep it waterproof. I have never had a problem with battery drainage but I only use the music and pandora.

Man My eyes are so bad, I am flat out making out what speed I am doin on the SG speedo no way i could see a iphone mounted on the handlebars for directions, would be like looking for chook teeth!

I have the Lifeproof waterproof case for my Iphone 4 and a Ram mount on my bike. If you use an actual Apple charging plug, you can plug it in and charge it while it's on the bike? It doesn't fit most aftermarket chargers though.
