Default 2012 Limited-Retune needed?

I have a 2012 Ultra Limited 103 with the Stage 1, Supertuner (HD) V-H Dresser Duals and Rineharts (4inch) with a Roland Sands AC. I am thinking about going to the CFR mufflers. Would I need to get the motorcycle re-tuned? Pros/Cons?

Check the size of baffles on current system. I would not go any bigger or smaller then 1/4" of what you are running now, should be ok. If you can match the baffle size, even better.

I'm not sure how much you know about the HD Supertuner, but it does have the capability to perform Smart Tunes. In other words, if you have the software & cables you can record 15 minutes worth of data points and merge it with you existing tune/map.

With a supertuner installed why would you NOT retune it?! You also have a near new bike and I would think you want it running just right! Either learn to tune it yourself or get it done.

I am going to say yes you will need to tune it. I put CFRs on my dresser duals with heavy breather and it sputtered and popped a little. I have the HD race tuner with smart tune, so it only took a couple data runs to get it right. There have been a couple case on here of discoloration of the mufflers. However those guys put them on a stock bikes without any tune.
