Default HD driver backrest POS?

I got an HD driver backrest for my 11 SG, it's the manually adjustable type. I cannot get it to a comfortable position, I tried moving it back as much as I could and it still pushes me towards the bars. Has anyone else tried one of these? I'm thinking of returningt this piece of junk, it even creases the seat when mounted in the rear most location. Any input or comments would be appreciated.

There are two adjustments. The first is on the bracket itself. It should be set to line up with the hole in the seat (to avoid the creasing you describe). It is not designed to be the adjustment for the seatback. The other adjustment is the screw on the back of the seatback itself (under the cover). That is the one you adjust to move the seatback front and back. Did you do the second type of adjustment?

What seat do you have?
A tallboy seat allows the backrest to be further back.

Look into the cvo pad. It's smaller and much nicer. I have it. I'm 6 foot 240 and with feet on pegs and back against that pad you could ride all day n night.

Yeah I did, I loosened the screw as much as I could and it still too forward to be comfy.

Is the bracket far enough back to line up with the slit in the seat? That should be lined up with the back of the bucket so that if you have the bracket aligned with that and back out the adjustment screw it should not be pushing you forward at all.

I had to bend the backrest bars to make it fit me.

I tried the 4 different positions, the third farthest position looks OK but stilll feels like it's pushing me forward. If I go to the 4th position it creases the rear of the slit in the seat and still pushes me forward. I loosened the screw till there is no tension on it and it doesn't help either. Maybe I'm just used to ride leaning back too much?

Yeah, sounds like you've tried all the options.
