Default Matuza Tour pack

I tried searching for this, but didnt find anything on it. I am looking for a tour pack to be used maybe 2-3 times per year when my wife decides to ride. I really dont want to spend 12-1500.00 on an OEM tour pack. I have looked at the Matuza tour packs on ebay and I have to say they look pretty good. Has anyone had any experience with these? I like the looks, but dont want to spend $500.00 on a piece of crap. Any input will be appreciated.

I bought one figuring on only using it a few times a year. It came paint matched for $98. Couldn't go wrong to at least try it. Now it is on most all the time.
My only issue is that the lid supports have worn down so lid vibrates a lot. After 20,00 miles, would do it again. No problems.
I will say, if you plan to use lid sacs, these will interfere.

Cool little Tour Pack. Holds about 20% less than HD. Looks fantastic on a Street Glide for that custom tourer look.
Only cost about $100 from California distributor.
Really light weight construction, but gets the job done.
Got mine with accessory top rack and it worked perfect on my recent 1,400 mile trip to Tahoe.
Will spend most of it's time hanging on my garage wall as I do not like having to swing my leg over it getting on and off.

I store my touring gear inside it when on the wall, so when it is time for a long trip everything is all in one place and ready to go without looking all over the place at the last minute.

I got the painted red one for $128. It is a bit darker than the Red Sunglow, and a bit lighter than the Merlot. Nice accent color for either choice.

If I spent most of my time touring I would spend the $ for the Harley setup, but for occasional use this sweet trunk is all I need.

I needed to drill fresh holes in the bottom,to go into the HD mounting system, and 4 more in the top to mount the chrome rack, but only took a 1/2 hour to mount it completely.

Try searching for "Mutazu". You might have better luck. I had one on a previous bike, they are cheap - plastic hinges, flimsy latch, and rattle like hell. I'd never put one on a Harley, but that's just me. I use my tourpak all the time.

I have one. It is cheap lockable storage for limited usage. Just what I want. Hangs in the garage most the time unless I'm off more than a weekend.

I'm very happy with mine,it's not HD quality but it's not that bad either.
It does not rattle but the paint is just "OK" and the skirt on the backrest is not lined up perfectly, but for the money I can't complain. With the quick disconnect, it works great for taking all my needed clothes and essentials into the hotel without doing any unpacking outside.
I added an HD logo to the back, I think it adds a little flash to it.

Default Matuza=Problem!

I just bought one for my 09 Road King. It is chinsy with thin wall construction and plastic hinges, but I will probably not use it much anyway. My problem is: How the hell do you mount it to a detachable tour-pac rack? The bottom of the box has "channels" molded into it for stiffening purposes but they are in all the wrong places for drilling to fit the Harley rack. The best I can figure is to cut a piece of aluminum plate to fit the inside bottom and then drill through it and the box, then bolt it on.
Any one have experience with mounting this box to a detachable mount????

This is the one I read some reviews also. I have owned the other trunk that mutazu sells and the material was pretty decent but the hinges and latch were chinzy. On the Tourpak one they make which is identical to oem Harley at most I would replace with the premium hinges and latches. I too am looking at getting this one. I'm painting my own so finish is of no concern to me.
