I went to my local Ace Hardware and picked up two heim bolts and a few jam nuts along with stainless fasteners. Total job under $15.

Thanks. The term Heim escaped me. I already have them with my Willie G shift rod.

I replaced my stock ones with the heim joints last weekend and noticed a difference in shifting right away. I got mine off of eBay for $7.

Our RGU was less than a month old, installed extended length shift levers and a solid rod/heim joint setup from Harley, nothing fancy but a perfect fitup and clean chrome.

I also replaced my linkage. I could tell the difference it the way it shifted right away. I am a machinist by trade so I took the liberty to fabricate my own linkage, along with the spike bolts to install. If you can see in the picture I also fab'd the axle caps to match, and the three windshield bolts.
It is one of the first things I replaced on the bike. I just couldn't stand the factory rod!

Holy Hanna! How do you post pictures on this sight?.....Woo hoo...I figured it out! I hope!!
