I just noticed that my SG is making what I can only compare to the noise a loud car tire makes when driving next to you. Seems like the sound fades or stops when under 20MPH. Pull in clutch and no change. Has anyone ever heard anything like this?
I know it's vague but I don't know how else to describe the sound. Not sure if it comes from the front end or the power train....
Was thinking maybe a failing bearing????
Any suggestions on where to start would help. Minimal abuse will be apprecieated.
Try to loosen the belt tightener, mine got stuck to tight once and was making a loud noice. And try to tighten your compenstor, might be the reason. Just a couple of free checks that might cure the noise.
