Default Ness big sucker

This mite be a dumb question but I couldn't find the answer.

Do I need to oil the filter on a new Big Sucker or has it been oiled from the factory?

it is oiled from the factory- however I always oil mine so I know it is evenly covered etc.

K&N oil and cleaner kits are at autozone.

PJ1 also makes filter oil

spray the oil on the filter, let it sit so the oil soaks into the media and any excess drains off.

pat with a paper towel on the outside surface only

install.

the motor may run a little rich for a short while if the filter is over-oiled

Mike

It's going to depend on which filter you purchased...not all require oil.

Always re-oil, it's just a matter of you doing in better than some guy in a garage some place dipping the part before packaging it and not really caring where it goes.
