Default Radio Friendly Exhaust System?

I'm looking for some feedback on muffler/exhaust systems that are, shall we say, more radio friendly. I've had bikes w/ Bub Strait Shots, Rinehart TDs, V&H 2-1's, and V&H Oval's(non Monster). I just picked up an '11 SG w/ the 103 and I no longer have the desire to be the loudest SOB leaving the Bar. I'm looking for something with a nice V twin rumble, but does allow for listening to the radio and/or talking to my girlfriend. (And I know a lot of noise comes from wind buffeting, but that's another thread!) I've read that V&H Monster Ovals and Rounds and BUB 7 Stealths are made for this type of application and I am hoping to get some real feedback from people who have already been there and have the t-shirt. Thanks!

I've got V&H Montser Ovals on my 2011 SG and love them. I can hear the stereo fine while riding. Even at 80 mph on the interstate I have no problem.
Another thing that will help you here the stereo better in a taller windshield. I demo-ed a 7 inch windsplitter and could here the stereo much better.
Plus the Monster Ovals just sound awesome. Rich deep rumble.

+1 on the Monster Ovals. I don't get a headache while I'm touring long distances, hear the radio just fine, but when I twist the throttle they let me know they are there. Nice deep rumble but very neighbor friendly. Combined mine with a Powerflex header from American Custom and got rid of the cat for $199 installed at Daytona Bike Week. Even improved a bit on the sound.

I've got RCX-Haust and love them. Nice low rumble and can still hear the radio at speed. Get a lot if complements on them and they have a ton of tip options.

It took me months of listening and on-line research to select the mufflers for my 2011 Ultra Classic. My recommendation is the Supertrap Stouts (strange name?).

If you're running the factory headpipe with the catalytic converter, you'll want the 2010 to 2013 model, as they are a little more "open", since the converter works like a muffler to some extent.

If installing a non-catalyst headpipe or gutting the catalyst from your existing headpipe, you'll want the model for 2009 and earlier, as they are a little quieter.

Non-catalyst headpipe + 2010-2013 Stouts = TOO LOUD for my taste!

I'm running the 2009 & earlier with my Fuel Moto 2-1-2 headpipe and they are PERFECT - Good rumble at idle and when pulling away, a little bark when you really get on it and VERY radio friendly when cruising at any speed. The wife and I can easily carry on a conversation while riding and we don't have to worry about the Drone that other mufflers often have.

All of my riding buddies have complemented on the looks and sound and two of them actually ordered sets last week.
