You need a seat that will move you back a couple of inches. The Harley Hammock seat did that for me. Go to your HD dealer and get a demo Hammock seat to put on your bike for a day long test ride. I think you will like it.
That's what they did for me when I test rode my 2011 Limited. The Hammock is the ticket for sure! I felt like I was riding on the fuel tank until they put the Hammock seat on. Huge difference!
The reason I don't have a 2013 bike in my garage at the moment is because there aren't many options for us tall riders. I'm 6'5" with a 36" inseam and have been searching for real solution for a good long time now. Sure, two inches here, two inches there helps but it isn't a solution. Add up a tall boy seat and some forward control extensions installed; comes to about 550 USD for less then 5 inches. Not to mention the loss of aesthetic with that fugly seat.
I also would advise you to patently ignore anyone advising highway pegs. They are for the highway. Unless you commute 40+ miles a day on the HIGHWAY, they aren't a solution.
At 6'1" you probably wont feel as frustrated as I do and I wish you the best in finding a truly comfortable solution. But when my seated position is more comfortable on a metric 250 cruiser with forwards than a RK or Glide, something is wrong - and it isn't me dammit!
I'm 6-9, so being cramped is not something new. I have extended highway pegs, air ride cop seat, moves you back a couple and up a couple, and moved the boards out an inch. Didn't move them forward because that requires you to get extended brake and shift peddles and I didn't have the cash for that mod. I droped the board down, but they drag A LOT and didn't like that so moved them back. Oh, and installed 16" apes, but then I put apes on everything. Priceless!!!!!
I already spent the GDP of a third world nation on Battistinis and lots of HD chrome stuff!
Looking at Madstad windshield, possible seat change, Fuel Moto headers, Vance & Hines Hi-Output slip ons, a tuner of some kind, God knows what else. That's why there's no 120R or Jims monster in that thing! $$$$$$$$
