Work wise, which lately is about all I have been doing but for a couple of trips to Arkansas this summer, I most often ride if its raining, but I sometimes have to haul something in my truck and do try to save those jobs for the rain days. Also not real thrilled with trashing a good wash job, seems usually the wash is on a Sunday and the rain in on the next Monday
I dont mind riding in rain....But I wont head out in the rain...If there is a 70% chance or rain for the day, and it's not raining when it's time to leave for work....I'll grab the full face and peel out..
But i just wont leave in the rain for ***** and giggles when I have 2 trucks and a car sitting in the yard also...
Depends on outside temp and how much rain, if you are around the same beltway as I am, my bike is in the garage today, tomorrow is going to be nice and over 80 so I will be riding tomorrow.
DC beltway. Ya I don't mind it and I use 66 a lot. This weekend I'll have my bow and hunting gear for the opener in Va. I pass through Orange every trip to Zion Cross Roads. Rain or shine LOL I've made that 2.5 hr trip in some heavy rain, But it's all good.
the worse part of the rain is the other idiots that can't drive or ride in it, I won't go with a group if their is a high chance of rain, rain doesn't slow us down to half speed like a lot of riders, we have a truck and van for a reason.
I have nothing to prove and better things to do than clean it back up.
That said, I'll ride for fun when it's cold. I'll only ride in the rain if I have to. If it's raining I take the cage. But hey...at least my cage is a bad *** ride itself.
I don't leave home in the rain unless it's some kind of scheduled ride. I rode 1 winter in Walla Walla in the snow back in '72 when all I had was a '68 Honda 350CB. Would hate to try in on my FLHTCU.
