Interstate and semis'
I normally stay off the super slab, however sometimes you just need to get from point A to B in a hurry. So what are some tips on avoiding the bad air and tubulance from the big rigs? I usually set my cruise between 70-75 and stay in the slow lane but nothing aggregates me more than passing a truck, just to have him pass right back and pin me for miles in his wake. Nothing ruins a ride more than being a bobble head...

STAY AWAY!
I NEVER follow ANY truck down the highway. It's a recipe for disaster. I'll either fall way back or most likely jump on it and pass it as fast as I can. I rarely find myself in a rush to get somewhere but if I had to be, I'd probably take my car. My bike is an oasis to me, providing "tranquil" time. Dodging traffic isn't tranquil.
As far as the truck coming back around again, I might take 5 at a rest stop to give some distance. Trying to beat it down the road with a big *** truck on my tail is no fun either!

Yeah that! And NEVER FOLLOW behind one or beside one.

Doesnt even take a semi - you will always get wake turbulence following a large vehicle, and I agree its not fun. This is why I will stay away from interstate highways unless its the only route choice. If I'm in a hurry I won't take the bike. I ride to relax, not to rush.

Trucks dont bother me...except when i get droplets of "water" on a clear sunny day, riding behind them. Some of them **** through a hole in the floor... or empty there **** bottle that way. Mostly truckers from middle east, from what i was told.....pigs, they are
i work in a dealer (peterbilt) & you DONT want to be anywhere close to trucks. these owner operators dont want to spend the money to fix stuff till they have to when there RED TAGGED at the scales. & you would not believe how many are out there. JUST STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
pass them or fall back.

Some good suggestions so far. Stay a ways back if possible, pass quickly and never ride beside it. Worst road I was on was I-30 in Arkansas, most trucks I have seen on any road. Was "stuck" on it for about 40 miles and was never so glad to change routes. Any interstate around Atlanta is bad.
