So the bars and the super size kit showed up this weekend, everything but they sent ot fluids. Kind of surprised by that for the cost. Anyway will be putting these on in a few weeks after i get some odd and ends stuff!

Quick tip: if you put your tires up on a piece of 2x lumber and then set it on its kick stand, causing your bike to lean over little more...you can get the cultch cover off without losing very much fluid at all...

From what I have been told you can go up to a 10" bar without changing cables and you have to reroute them. I talked with Yaffe on his 10" mini apes and he said you had to change cables because he must measure the height different? From what I understood with him, his 10" acted more like a regular 11" or 12" bar. I have been debating on a lot of bars and am still on the hump, but I am leaning towards the Kromewerks 2+2 sweepers and trying to make them work with just changing the clutch cable. If anyone else has any suggestions please chime in. If you going to go through all the work on changing the bars you might as well paint the inner fairing also. This is my plan

I just put a pair of Yaffes 10 inch mini apes on an 06 Ultra Glide. Wires were ok, clutch cable needed to be replaced(read to many storys of cable breaking from being maxed out, and brake lines were temporarily mounted with a make shift bracket.(about 2 inches to short even after rerouting). New brake lines on order. I think the Yaffe bars are taller than most others. Probably measured differantly. Love the bars. Installed Friday and a 5 hour ride with the wife Saturday.

To the OP, its a time consuming job but not real difficult.

I recently installed the bars myself on my 09 Roadking. The project was just as everyone on these forums described: a pain but doable.

Here is a pic of the bars on my bike. Best tip I have if internally wiring is to cut most of the black casing that holds the wires and rewrap with shrink wrap to allow them to feed better through the bars, especially the throttle side.
