Winter blend sucks..

I've noticed a drop of about 2mpg on the last couple of tanks and then I looked back at last years mpg record and saw the same drop after Oct. I now know why, winter blend gas. Research on the net lets us know to expect a 2% drop in mpg due to the change but it seems a much greater % on the HD setup I have, form 38mpg to 36mpg on the big road. Why can't they leave a summer blend? Looks like the cost of production is higher for the summer blends, did anybody see a price drop at the pump for the reduced production cost with the winter blends?

Try an Ethanol neutralizer, you can get it at Home Depot or Lowe's. 1oz. to 5 gallons.

Don't know that the ethanol has an effect or not with the winter blend, might be worth a try. I've been running 10% ethanol 93 octane as a routine. I've not changed brands or octane. I don't think from what I read the ethanol % is being changed, something about vapor flash point.
