Heel to Toe shifter

I have had my Ultra for 2 months and still don't like the heal to toe shifter. Would I be crazy to remove the heal part and use the shift like a normal toe shifter?

No,a lot of people remove theirs. Just get the chrome cap to cover it and your good. I will say I love using mine,once you get used to it you can never go back.

few of my friends took theirs off but i agree i love mine

Tried it did not like it , took it off, put chrome cover on and good to go. Had kinda wished it had worked out for me, toe shifting kills toes of boots and shoes, and most folks say you will get used to it, but I hooked the cuff of my jeans once and felt the bike lean while stopped and that was it for me, off it came , seems to be one of those 50/50 issues, that some folks use both and some use Toe shifter only.
