So its time for a new leather jacket for cold weather riding. For the past couple years I've been wearing my dads leather, which he loaned to me. Now I'm passing it back to him since he's back on the road again. I have chaps, gloves and all the other gear, but now I'm going to be jacketless. I'd like to get one similar to his. Nothing fancy, just good quality thick leather, gusseted shouldered and cuffs, strong zipper, and quilted lining. Trouble is I can't just go buy a new one of his, seeing as he got it at Americade before I was even born. So my question is what are my fellow riders wearing? I get a nice discount at my HD dealer, so I'm thinking of checking out the HD jackets. I also have a leather guy nearby that sells FIRST leather gear (FMC) and few other brands. Anyone have any input on the HD stuff? Well made? How does it hold up? Same inquiry applies to other brands. So lets here it...

What size ya need??? I have an HD Competition II for sale in the classifieds. Awesome jacket. Just can't wear it anymore due to losing almost 100lbs.
I have had a "cheap" one about 30 years. I don't see many 30 year old HD jackets out on the road. Actually, I have never saw even one but I do see a few newer HD jackets on folks heading back to their car from the bars and restaurants.
Had to retire my 30 yr. old jacket (my girlfriend claims I looked ridiculous still trying to squeeze into it) and got a Fox Creek Leather jacket. Wow... I was really impressed with the product and the service. The thing feels like it weighs 20 lbs. Would definitely buy this product again.

Take a look at Milwaukee leathers I bought a Leather Jacket from them at the BBB rally in Arkansas. Got a great price and it is real heavy and made out of buffalo. I got back to work and shown a coworker he thought I had lead weights in it. Also 2yr warrenty on the jacket.
