Default Model numbers

I am a newbie doing research preparing to purchase a used Touring bike. One question I have is how to make sense of differentation of levels in one model, ie, FLHTCUSE1, 2, or 3? Where can I find documentation to do follow-up reading. I plan on riding to/from work that is 55mi each way.

Also, what is the best way to buy in terms of depreciation, 3, 4, 5 or more years?

And I will most certainly appreciate any other thoughts of wisdom to help me along

Respectfully,

Festus Reynolds-Baltimore MD

The difference between 1, 2, 3 in the CVO line would be based on the year they came out. As such, the differences would be based on the same for that year.

Default Thanks

Thanks DAWG,

How old would be the sweet spot in terms of age/price/depreciation?

Just to expand because I probably confused you, FLHTCUSE1 is a custom screamin' eagle ultra model that came out in 2006, a FLHTCUSE2 came out in 2007 and so on. So to that end a 3 designated model would have throttle by wire whereas a 1 and 2 would not. The 1 would have a 103 engine whereas 2 and later would have 110. Totalmotorcycle.com would show the differences between years.

As for the sweet spot it depends on what you're looking for. As stated, the 08 and later would have a 6 gal gas tank and TBW. The 09 and later would have a different frame and so on.
