I originally wanted everything black, but was held back by $$. Now I like the contrast look better. That being said if I was getting a set of bars they would be black.
I went black exhaust with silver tips, looks great, thinking of black bars after a seat upgrade, I like the mix, + 1 on MSG, great product & customer service!
Well heres what I have to work with. My exhaust is chrome with black tips. I can get black heat shields that would cover head pipes, but the mufflers would stay chrome. Cant afford to change all out. So if you can imagine this side profile shot with black head pipe heat shields do you think that would work or not?
Also, if that does work, what would you do with bars? black or chrome?
Or does it not work at all with chrome muffler. If that's the case Ill just leave exhaust and bars chrome til a much later time when I can change everything out. Attachment 623594
Mine is a mix right at the moment. But it won't be after the first fluid change. Anyway, wrinkle horn cover, A/C cover, and rocker box tops. Gloss black, guards and strut covers. All the engine covers will be wrinkle as well as the dash and I'm going with black V&H power duals and black monster ovals with chrome tips. Everything else will stay as is.
craigffb, are those 14" apes your rockin there? What brand and how do u like em?
They are the Harley 12" Bat Wing apes. They are all the way forward in the pic...I pulled the back a bit now. Love 'em. And I used all the stock wires, cables, and lines. Didn't change a thing, just rerouted stuff.
