Does anyone have a mix of chrome and black powder coat for exhaust or bars? I currently have chrome bars and exhaust and was thinking of adding black heat shields to pipes, leaving chrome mufflers and leaving the end tips black.
Now Im on the fence as to whether to go with chrome bars or black ?
Either keep it all chrome or mix it up some. I don't want it to look half done though.
Any thoughts or suggestions? Pics would be big help to. Thanks in advance.
Its really a matter of what you are going to be happy with.... Do you like the mix match of chrome and black? It wouldn't necessarily look half done, just different.
I am heading in the direction of a mix of chrome and black. Pipes are chrome with black tips, 4 point mounting bracket and back rest are black (chrome piece on back of pad area), Heavy Breather is chrome with black cover. I am now leaning towards black fork lowers and chrome wheels. I am ordering the black LED light from HD. Not sure yet on the Yaffe 10"MBB's but they are on my list. Not much to see in my pic since I am just getting started. I would like to see what others have done. Good topic.
Taz, MGS True Duals! How you like em? I am loving mine. Look and sound GREAT! and theres plenty of performance. I have the chrome pipes with black tips and was thinking of putting black heat shields on and leaving the chrome muffler.
Im kinda stuck on handlebars though. Not sure if I want black or chrome.
On one hand, if I went black, with stock controls most of upper bike would be blacked for the most part. Then on other hand if I get chrome, the black controls may make a nice accent like the chrome mufflers with black shields.
I guess we could go back and forth all day on the possibilities. I proly just need to see some inspiration and go from there. So for now Im stuck in undecided, and I need to order bars here pretty soon.
I love the MGS True Duals. Sound, quality, and performance is top notch. Customer service is awesome as well.
I am in the same boat on figuring out what parts to go black and what parts to go chrome. Good luck to you. I am sure it will look good regardless of which route you go.
I just noticed the apes in your pic. You changing those out for something different? I am trying to make sure I get what I want the first time around. Alot of $$Benjamins$$ to be swapping bars.
I'm at work and the computer here is giving me issues when trying to attach the pic I wanted to. Look in my profile/garage and you can see some pics of it. None are the one I was trying to attach but should give you an idea...
