Default Mustang Wide Tripper Solo?

Anybody out there have Mustang Wide Trpper Solo seat? (with or without driver backrest) I'm looking for a solo seat and I'm wondering if it's good for a couple of hundred mile day or if it's all show and only good down to the bar like some of the other "Tripper" or Badlander type seats. Thanks.

Default Wide Tripper

I have the wide tripper on my '11 Street Glide. Took a few shorter rides at first to get used to it. But now I regularly ride it from S.E. Texas to South Mississippi (340 miles), with a backrest. In comparison to my stock seat, it seams like it sets me back a couple of inches and even down a little. Just as with any seat that I have used in the past, around 200 miles I'm ready for a little stand up break. Which is no problem b/c this is when I need fuel anyways. My bike is Merlot Sunglo, which is a very dark reddish color. I bought the brown seat and personally think it looks great.

Well, my question could not have been answered any better. I, too, have an '11 Merlo Sunglo SG and was thinking about the brown seat also. Your pics answered the question. Looks great! Thanks again!

I agree with prosport76...

My bike is black though, so I have the one with the diamond stitching.
Oh, and I don't have the backrest...

Yea, if I could do it again I think I would go with the diamond stitching. The wife talked me into the plain. But I still think the diamond stitching looks nicer. Oh well. Still like the look, alot.
