Yep ... another Pledge thread ... The weather is changing and all the "old" threads will soon be resurrected .... 1. Which Oil ... 2. Which Cam ... 3. Do these chaps make my *** look fat? ... and so on ... It's all good ... Old ... But good !!
did you 2 even read the post? or just see "pledge" and decide to make a dumb comment. Pledge changed their ingredients recently. This is not the same pledge thread for years.

Say what you will about Pledge users. But I have noticed all the problems that the lady listed in her blog. I thought it was just me but it doesn't work anywhere near as well as the old formula did. Not for house cleaning or bike detailing. For the one's who will say "just use brand xxx wax/detailer and be done with it." The biggest positive I noticed from detailing my bike with Pledge was that it did not attract or hold dust as easily. I can detail my bike with any reputable name brand wax or detailing spray and it will be dusty within 24 hours just sitting in the garage. The old Pledge kept the dust at bay. Even after an afternoon ride the dust accumulation was minimal and the dead bugs would wipe right off. Not so with the new formula.

i don't know if that is the same as the 'hondabrite' that they used to sell but if so they have also changed their formulation to a more 'environmentally friendly' base and does not work anywhere near as well as it used to. what you want is the original hondabrite, which is now marketed under its own label as 'the original spray cleaner and polish'. found at many metric dealers, around $6.00 a can.

That stuff had a very toxic smell that was terrible. I tried to wash my micro fiber rags and it stunk up the house and the rags still smelled like crap. I threw them and the rest of that crap in the trash can (outside).

My buddy would not shut up about this stuff and how great it was. So I finally tried some.

Sorry, been using that stuff for years. It works great and has no 'toxic' odor that I've ever noticed (I'm also wondering what 'toxic' actually smells like). Maybe you nose is just a bit sensitive?
It won't replace a good wash/wax job but it definitely works very well. I use it for paint and chrome plus it does a great job at keeping bugs from sticking too hard to the windshields on my bikes.

I've been using this stuff lately:
Kinda like the "poor man's Pledge".
Seems to work the same as the "old" original Pledge stuff, but then again, I only use it on the Windshield. Works great. About $0.20 cents cheaper too.
