I initially posted this in an old Pledge thread but was asked to start a new thread so here goes.
Since Pledge has changed is formula my wife sent SC Johnson an email with regard to using the new formula on a motorcycle, below is their response. Looks like it's a no go....
Thanks for getting in touch with us, Rene
Yes, we have recently changed the formulation for all of our PledgeŽ Furniture Sprays. That said, as we currently are not offering a petroleum-based product that is recommended for use on a motorcycle, we would suggest getting in touch with an auto detailer for an appropriate suggestion.
Kind regards,

Thanks. Now I would just like to know the difference between new and old formula and if mine is to be used or not. I suspect some sort of new labeling??
Well....it is and always has specified "furniture" polish.
It was good while it lasted!
It's funny how they just recently marketed it "for motorcycles" though.

Thanks for the info, but a lot of people will be slashing their wrists after reading your post.
I was disappointed to say the least, I have a can and a half left of the old stuff and not looking forward to running out....
The new cans list the ingredients and "no petroleum based propellants" where as the old can I have do not list either one. The ones I have are about two years old.
hmmmmm, I never noticed whether mine said the petroleum statement or not. I'm going to have to look. I bet the new would still work, just wouldn't be as slick. Any scientists out there willing to take a look at the new ingredients list???
