Unhappy Lifting streetglide off kickstand hurts mid back

I am 5' 10" about 150# but when I mount my bike and pull it up from kickstand position to ride it seems to hurt my mid back from torqueing it upright. What is the proper way to lift Harley from kickstand to riding position? Maybe I am doing something wrong by pulling it up by handgrips while on it and using my weight.
Thanks

Have your front wheel turned to the left and as you start to raise the bike turn the bars to the right at the same time. this might help ya a little.

Are planting your feet and using your core muscles instead of arms and upper body? I had to think about this one and just remember that I always use my legs/torso to move the bike up off of the stand. Try that.

Here is a trick I learned, if I can explain it. On the bike, Right hand on throttle, left hand down near crotch holding underneath the gas tank. Use left hand and legs to right the bike. Good luck.

Try pointing you left toe in toward the bike when you pick up the weight. Helps you use that left thigh muscle instead of your back.

Sitting on the bike turn your bars all the way to the right.

Then as you start to turn them back left to center shift your weight to the right at the hips and the bike will be upright off the stand.

You don't even notice the weight of the bike doing it this way and you don't have to be grabbing around on the tank or the frame.
