Default Amp size question

I was going to run the PBR 300x4 powering the fairing speakers (PA MM651 6/75") and PA 5.25" in the TP pods. I am also thinking of the future and adding saddlebag lids and possible lower fairing speakers so iam thinking of a JL XD 700/5 but it is a bit larger

any thoughts? would the larger JL still fit in the fairing?

You can't use the PBR300x4 with the Polk MM651's. The speakers are 2.7 ohm and the amp is only 4 ohm stable.

The JL will not fit in the fairing. Too big. I was going to try to fit the JL Audio XD 600/6, which is the same size as the 700/5, and it was too long and wide. I cut some wood and carboard to see it if would fit, and it's a no-go.

I thought for sure that combo had been used before

People that run those speakers generally use the pbr300x2. You would need one for each set of speakers, and you can fit two in your fairing.

If thats the case I would think I could run 2 300x4's as they are nearly identical in size

PBR300x4 7"W x 1 9/16"H x 4 5/16"D
PBR300x2 6 3/4"W x 1 9/16"H x 4 1/2"D
or 1 of each
the 300x4 running the saddlebag lids and lowers in the future and the 300x2 running fairing and TP?

Just remember to use 4-ohm speakers with the pbr300x4 and you should be good to go. I would put the fairing and lower speakers on one amp to adjust the fade between the back and front of the bike, but that's just me. Your way will work.

I just barley fit the JL xd100/4 in the fairing so I think the 700/5 would be a no go. If ya run the tour pak there is all kinds of room under it for about any amp.

I can't find that amp on the JL Audio website. Can you tell me more about the size and wattage of this amp?

Or do you mean the xd400/4?
