I have the 7" wind splitter on my 12 street glide and love it. I'm 6'5" and I slouch a bit when I ride but even with my extra height it's perfect. If I sit bolt upright I can feel the wind on my helmet but when I'm doing 80 it's not anywhere close to hitting me in the face. Did 90+ the other day with no helmet and just a bandana and it stayed on nicely. I have a 21 inch front wheel and the rear is lowered which raises the front end up a bit but I think our difference in height would give you similar results if your wheels and suspension are stock.

I'm surprise no one's mentioned the distortion caused by the tip out bend at the top of the Wind Splitter. I'm 5'9" and in a normal riding position, the bend on the 7" is in my line of sight for the road about 40 - 60' in front of the bike - this masks any bumps / potholes at just about your last chance to avoid 'em.. Without lowers, it's amazing how much buffeting you also get from under the fairing in an upwards direction towards you - check it out at 75, feel where the still air is and where there's an updraft..

I know you stated that you are not interested in aftermarket shields but I would seriously consider LongRideShields. They have different tints and a good selection of sizes. I put a 9" on my Limited and am extremely happy with it. Their prices are competitive also.
