Unless its snowing or freezing rain, i try to ride pretty much every day to work, but ill admit as im getting old, once in a while ill take the pickup on one of those cold rainy days just to stay warm for a change, old truck needs driven anyways 1200 miles in 6 yrs, at this rate it will cost me more in replaceing the tires than ill ever spend in gas.

I normally ride pretty much year round unless there's ice on the ground but I'm going to be storing mine for a little bit this year or atleast however long it takes me to do all the mods I want to do to it. So about 2 or 3 days.

Texas is a funny place to ride sometimes...can be 20 and snowing in the morning and 75 and sunshine by 2pm...or my FAVORITE is the dust storm in the morning with a fast moving squal line behind it so it rains mud...

Used to be I'd ride. Regardless.

Now I tend to stay away from the ice and snow...so maybe a two or three days a year that I WON'T ride.

I was raised in NW Texas and Northern Nevada has weather similar to what we had and you described for Texas weather. So mine sees very little for winter rest, but there is the occasional week of foul weather.

That's one thing I've never had to do--put the bike up for winter. I've always ridden year round but if it's super cold I don't do it anymore especially if it's raining and cold. I'm 66 now and it's a little different but I still ride enough in the winter not to put the cover on it. Hope none of you guys were too effected by Sandy.

Living in Denver we ride pretty much year round, between snow storms and ice. So never put them down for the winter, just sometimes for a few weeks.

I dont know what i would do if I had to put mine away for that long. I ride more in the winter months than any other time of the year. Must suck!!!! Gotta love West Tx.

Is in the garage but not away for the winter, sometimes we get warm days, but mostly from Dec thru Feb she stays in the garage, just turned 50 this year and am thinking more and more of migrating South.
