Welcome from Michigan.
Congrats to your Wife on her new Harley.
She has her own bike, so I would think a street glide or a Road King would do the trick. Other then long rides I pop the windshield off my King when it's over 80 degrees and it's like a completely different bike, gives it a sporty feel. If you need music then I would go with the Glide.

Welcome from south Nashville. Cant really help with choice. I went with the Ultra to get the radio, storage, wind protection and abs. I ride two up often so this was the best choice for me. Have many friends with road glides, street glides and road kings. All great rides.

I rented some bikes that I was interested in before buying , it gave me a feel for which I preferred. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum! I'm a little partial to the Road King, but any of the three would be great bkes to have. And, I've traveled to Nashville many times, absolutely love your city!

Welcome, I had a RKC and we put 63,000 great miles on it, Traded up a year ago to an Ultra Classic. I find it much more comfortable for the long hauls and easy enough to ride around town. I felt a little cramped on the RKC, feel like I have more room on the Ultra.

I am 44 and wasn't ready for the full on Pop-Pop look so i removed the TP and put on some Prime Apes. Can put it back to stock when I get tiered of this look...

Just bought my wife a 2011 Sportster Super Lo yesterday and she is pretty jazzed. She is a new rider so I think this will be a good first bike for her.

Anyway, glad to be here and am enjoying all the reading so far. One thing however, I cannot seem to open .jpg photos. Says I dont have permissions.

Welcome from Nolensville, just south of Nashville. Good choice on your wife's bike, but if she is a new rider, i suggest she take a riders course at one of the dealerships or any of the other courses in the area.

Decide on how you will use your bike and choose accordingly. No matter what you get you will second guess what you buy. You are looking at three similar but different bikes.
You can strip down an ultra but it will never look like a street glide. A road king is a classic look and a really smooth ride. A street glide is sporty and fun. As mentioned, local dealers rent bikes, maybe a good idea to help you decide.

When you get your bike, all of the local forum members need to get together and ride to lunch one Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Guys/Gals,

Just read all your posts and I want to thank all of you for the warm welcome to the Forum. I used to frequent the Corvette C2 forum as well and those are great guys as well.

I'm still on the fence of which bike I love the most. I plan to head over to Bumpus in Murfreesboro Saturday and take a few out for test rides. I'm sure it will hit me between the eyes when I ride that magic bike.

To answer one post, my wife did in fact take the Riders Edge Class at Boswells and did very well I might add. We plan to spend lots and lots of time down at the high school parking lot as I help her with maneuvers and such. "Gotta keep that head and eyes up LOL" She will get it. We all had to start somewhere and that time is now for her. Love that girl so much...

I do have to say that the classic big blue pearl 2 tone is just about my favorite color on all these bikes. Just my taste but man that color rocks me hard...

I'll keep ya'll posted when I get riding soon. Any yes, we do need to have a run some weekend morning with the Nashville crew. It would be great to meet you guys.

Cheers,
Mike
