CB Antenna Whip gone!

Default CB Antenna Whip gone!
It finally happened. We have covered parking for motorcycles at work but the roof is fairly low. The other day my CB antenna caught one of the beams of the roof and the whip pulled out of the base. Like an idiot, I just pushed the whip back inside and thought I'd be ok. Of course with the motor vibration, it worked itself out and it's nowhere to be found. Is there a replacement whip that I can buy or do I have to buy a whole new antenna? I don't use the CB, but I just don't like the look of just the base on my tour-pack.

I took my CB antenna off and replaced it with a chrome spacer and a chrome acorn nut - looks nice and finished off.

Same thing happened to me. I bought 2 shorties. Less hassle, less hitting garage doorways, though I think I lost some reception on AM-FM.

Gotta be careful of those whip antenna's...

I'm not a breaker breaker type guy and I never hear anyone on the cb anyway. I'm thinking of eBay with it.

Well maybe some of these posters that removed there factory antenna could give the antenna to you. Just a kind thought!

Default shorties
Lad, I replaced my whip antennas with short ones I got from J & M. I had them on for about two years. The reception I got on the AM/FM and CB was very bad. I finally put the whip antennas back on and the reception on all radios were much better.

I'm going on 5 years with my J&M shortie's and they work just fine, no reception issues. Never use the CB but could if needed. Good luck.
