Default Anyone tried passenger armrests?

Looking to buy the new passenger armrests for my limited. Before plunking down the cash, thought I would ask if anyone else has purchased them and what does your SO think of them? Are they worth the $400

I have them on my Limited. Wife does like them alot. Only complaint is they are a little low, but i think someone has taller pads you can put on to make them a few inches taller.
I bought the Kuryakyn version from Denniskirk.com (Quick Detach Passenger Armrests 8979 Part #397044)
- i think they were $252.00.
FYI - i also put on the passenger adjustable footrests, she seems to like them also.....

This is the one that is going on mine. It will match my seat without all of the colored stitching.

Was going to buy them for my wife for my 2005 Ultra, but in 2008 we went down on our side in a wreck, luckily my wife was thrown off. I believe if she had those armrests she would not have been able to get thrown off and away from the bike , Thats just my opinion.

Put them on my 09 ultra wife loves them. But never thought about what would happen if we went down.

This is our third bike with them and my wife loves them. We put the HD ones on and have had no problems with them. My wife has neck problems and can't ride far without them.

I replaced the "short armed" stock backrest with a Mustang backrest which, out of the box, has longer arm rests. Of course it matches my Mustang seat. They are plenty long enough for mama, so problem solved. You can see them in the picture below...

Default The Wife's Review

I just installed the "new" Harley armrest kit a week ago and the wife & I took our first spin with them today AND SHE LOVES THEM! For the past three years she has used the passenger grabrails and was perfectly happy with them and didn't see the need to spend the extra money. After her first ride with the armrests she commented that she was WAY more comfortable with them and wouldn't miss the grabrails if I took them off.

BTW - They are really easy to install!
