+1 on going with an 18" rim or something that will show more air IF you are going to stick with the rotor covers. It seems like having empty space behind the rotor covers would be a good contrast with the chrome covers.
Or maybe a 16" wheel with a more open design.

If you are a true chrome addict, then do chrome wheels, maybe a different style wheel. However, just make sure that it is the NEXT thing you want to do because your chrome budget is probably not unlimited. The reason I say that is because you can kinda get away with non-chrome wheels since they are kinda hidden behind the rotor covers. Seems like white walls would work with your nice light blue and your overall pimpadelic direction. I call my ride with whitewalls the "Pimpcycle".

I think what you did to the engine looks good, but I have to agree that the chrome pieces on the disc brake and caliper doesn't add anything to the bike. What's important is that you like the look of your bike. What others think is really not important (unless of course it's some hottie and she's looking to jump on the back of it). I did most of what you did as I obviously like the chrome look especially on a throwback model like a RKC.
The black coating that Harley puts on these motors looks fine when new but fades, and I find it very difficult to keep looking new. It tends to always look dirty so I put all these chrome pieces on to hide the faded black coating.

IMO you can never go wrong with chrome, have fun with it, and the wheels would look awesome. I'd take other people's opinion (including my own) with a gran of salt as your taste may differ. If you like it, use it.

Nice looking sled.

Not a fan of chrome covers; all they do is ad gaudy weight to the bike. OK to replace a part with a chrome one, but to cover a functional piece or area (like the tranny-engine interface) with a chrome cover is superfluous & a waste of money, IMHO.

What Dickey said....

I don't get the "cover it up with fake" chrome. If you replace a piece with it, then fine. The trans interface/inner primary screams "cheep" to me. Maybe "kewl" to the kids who don't know any better, guess it's a matter of who your tryin' to impress.

You need to get the lightbar back on... and the disks off the front!

Your ride/money.... make yourself happy.

Just sayin',

18 street glide rim and polished rotors from Whilly Shiny on my old Road glide,

I have a set of 2012 Street glide wheels to go on my Road king as soon as I do a chrome swap with ***** Shiny, Im not a big fan of the kury stuff as it looks bulky and too much of it takes away from the bike.

Is it over the top etc. etc., don't pull any punches, I can take it...

Also how would this rim look on the front. Would it make a big difference????
(It is the same rim as my factory wheel but is chromed out!!)
I like your RK. I like BLING! Keep it up.

Kuryakyn makes a bunch of stuff for Harley, including switch covers, tappet block etc....
Not saying it's not real chrome. They are covers, not real parts. Yes, Kuryakyn does a good business selling all them covers and geehaws. They just don't appeal to me. You and others like them, good for you.
