Default 6 3/4'' speakers

Was wondering if those 6 3/4'' speakers will fit on the adapter rings. Website says those speakers fit in 6 1/2'' openings. Has anybody ever tried the 6 3/4''s?

Well ... Polk MM series and Focal 165 series are actually 6.75" speakers and work. I have Dragon Fly Concept adapters and inquired with Dragon Fly about speaker fitment with the above. They said both will match right up and I am now using Focals. Short version, inquire with adapter supplier with your speaker ideas. You can certainly drill the screws easily enough into the adapters if they're not a perfect match. I did this with a couple extra screws per speaker to make more stabile...

There are not too many 6-3/4" speakers out there. And the ones that are are actually 6.5" speakers with a woofer cone area of a 6-3/4" speaker.
In other words, the only thing 6-3/4" about it is the size of the woofer cone, the baskets are still 6.5" .
The Polk MM6501 and MM651 for example, they are 6-3/4" speakers with a 6.5" basket but they will fit into the cut out for a 5.25" speaker!
Go figure that one.........lol.
To my knowledge, The Polk is the only 6.5" or 6.75" speaker that is a direct drop in replacement speaker for the rear speaker pods on a bagger without cutting the pods.
I know this to be fact because I have them in the rear pods of my 12' FLHTK.

Sorry, I didn't really answer your question. If you are referring to the adapter rings for the fairing? Yes, they fit like any other 6.5" speaker. The basket is the size of other 6.5" speaker baskets.
