90 tourglide speakers
I was changing out the fuse panel for the cb and pod (the fuse holders were rotted off the board) and was wondering about changing out the speakers. I don't want to do any cutting what speakers would fit? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I put JBL 4" car speakers in mine. They sound better than the factory ones. Look at what HD put in there. You don't need special outdoor or marine speakers. Regular high quality car speakers will work fine.

I have some 4" 200w Pioneers in mine now, and it's not great but could also be worse. Plan on upgrading them to a Biketronics stereo package that can with some Titan speakers they offer. I have the whole system, just need to find the time to install it. I have a set of 4" Polk marine speakers on my metric being pushed by an amp, got them from Motorcycletunes.com @ $200 pair (spendy). But they sound awesome, and fully expect them to still sound even better than my Biketronics system when complete. Good luck!

One thing to consider is the ohm differential between the speakers and the radio. My 1998 has an 8ohm radio. Almost all speakers today are either 2 or 4 ohm. The lower resistance on the speakers will overdrive the radio causing it to cut out in many cases. The answer is to get 8 ohm replacement speakers, which are about Unobtainium, replace the radio and speakers with aftermarket which in most cases means you will have to add on an aftermarket unit so as not to lose the handlebar controls, or get an amplifier, and new speakers. The amp can take care of the mismatch resistance, and you can add whatever speakers you want then.

I went on ebay and got me some 4 inch speakers, 200 watts,any good 4 inch will do, I paid like 20 bucks for em and they work great!
