Question Exhaust

About 2 yrs. ago I had a 2-into-1 Rhinehart exhaust and a Screaming Eagle race tuner installed on my '07 FLH and had the motor set up on a dyno. The only mod previous to that was a pair of Screaming Eagle mufflers on the stock exhaust. I want to go back to the stock exhaust with the S.E. mufflers (Noise has become an issue) and leave the S.E. tuner in place. Will I have to have the bike reprogrammed and will there be any other issues?

Thanx

I would think you will have to reload the stock map from your tuner which is no big deal,I know I can with my TTS tuner and a laptop.

Personally I would get my friendly favourite indy to retune it on the dyno. I changed exhausts a couple of years ago and was amazed how much improvement there was.

This is an assumption, but you are probably already tuned rich since that is the universal "proper" way to tune. If you put the more restrictive stock exhaust back on, the result will generally be further enrichment, and a change to volumetric efficiency. I recomend a tune anytime the volumetric efficiency is modified, but my goal is peak potential. You're gonna get all kinds of responses, but nobody can tell you the impact of the change without hooking up to a sniffer. I like the quiet stock exhaust myself, quiet doesn't necessarily mean "weak", it can be tuned to work well.
