I have an SG that has been lowered in the rear already and I would like to add extended bags. I am planning to run the pipe out the side so the bags I would go with won't have cut-outs. I am leaning towards the sinister ABS bags. My two concerns; 1) will they drag on cornering? 2) How will it look with the stock SG rear fender? Anyone have experience with this, any help would be appreciated.
I have a Bad Dad bagger kit on my 08 FLHX and it does occasionally scrape. But I am a very aggressive rider. If you ride sanely they should not scrap.
Be very cautious when riding over steep inclines (like speed bumps) because it will catch the bottom of the fender. I broke both the bracket and fender on mine when the old lady was on the back leaving a local watering hole that had a sharp drop off getting out of the parking lot. Of course she suggested getting off and I said don't worry about it. Hell why start listening to her now.... I can't have nice things!

My street glide will scrape if not careful. I have the Bad Dad bags with skid plates which do help some. Initially had the glide lowered 1 inch in the back but took the lowering blocks off when I went with the extended bags.
I do ocassionaly scrape the boards so I guess I will be getting some of the skid plates for the bottoms and will get replacements. Does anyone have a picture of extended bags with a stock fender? I can't seem to find any. Thanks for all the help.
